François Huguenet is specialised in corporate communication and public relations, mainly for professional associations and the public sector.
In recent years, François Huguenet gained significant expertise in the field of Swiss health policy and worked on different projects for medical associations in the French speaking part of Switzerland. He has solid knowledge of the Swiss political scene and its issues. From 2005 to 2011 and from 2015 to 2016, he served as a member of the Lausanne City Council.
In 1997, François Huguenet obtained a certificate of political studies from the Institute of Political Studies of Bordeaux and, a year later, graduated in political sciences from the University of Lausanne. From the age of 16 until the end of his studies, he was a regular free-lance editor for different regional publications. He then worked for two years in Bern, for the “Année politique suisse“. In this capacity, he wrote the chapter on Swiss Politics for the “Année francophone Internationale“ several years in a row.
In 2000, he joined the communication agency Bütikofer & Company as a consultant. Then, as an associate, he took part in the opening of the Lausanne office of the Rochat & Partners agency, which later became PLEON C-Matrix for Western Switzerland. Since June 2011, he leads the agency ftc communication.
François Huguenet is also co-founder and former president of the Lausanne University Political Science Almuni Association and launched the first « political café » in French-speaking Switzerland. He holds a Diploma of Director of Communication from the Swiss PR Institute.
