Political specialist by training (University of Lausanne and IEP of Bordeaux), former editor of the Année Politique Suisse publication in Bern and former member of the Lausanne City Council (2005-2011, 2015-2016), François Huguenet developed a sound understanding of the Swiss political scene, its issues and mechanisms. He also has in-depth knowledge of the public administration, having acted for almost a year in a half in total as a temporary communication officer in 3 Canton of Vaud departments (Education, Infrastructure, Interior). Passionate about public affairs, he was also the co-founder and first president in 2000 of the University of Lausanne Political science Alumni Association (now ASSOPOL).

François Huguenet, a former committee member of the Société romande de relations publiques (SRRP) and of the Association of PR agencies in Switzerland (BPRA), obtained the Communication Director Diploma in 2004, jointly awarded by the SAWI and SPRI. With an early taste for writing, François Huguenet also worked a sa freelance writer for several newspapers from the age of 16 until the end of his academic studies.

In recent years, François Huguenet conducted numerous communication audits, as well as designed and implemented 360° corporate communication strategies for a wide variety of clients. He also gained significant expertise in the health, social and land use planning sectors thanks to a loyal clientele and the management of several projects and campaigns in these fields, including in crisis situations. François Huguenet advises public authorities, professional organisations, foundations and associations, as well as private companies in the French-speaking part of Switzerland.

In 2000, François Huguenet joined the communication agency Bütikofer & Company as a consultant. Then, as an associate, he took part in the opening of the Lausanne office of the Rochat & Partners agency, which later became PLEON C-Matrix for Western Switzerland. Since June 2011, he is  ftc communication’s managing Director.
