Philippe Amez-Droz, ftc’s new Senior Consultant

3 August 2026

Our agency is delighted to be able to draw, from August 2026 onwards, on Philippe Amez-Droz’s wealth of professional experience, as we write together the final chapter of an impressive career.

A journalist in the 1980s (Radio Canal 3, the weekly Biel-Bienne, Journal du Jura, Journal de Genève & Gazette de Lausanne, La Suisse), Philippe Amez-Droz went on to work in communications as a communications manager and consultant from 1990 onwards, notably at Immo-Information and as Head of Public Relations at the Trimedia agency, before founding his own company, AZconsulting. From 2008 onwards, he also embarked on a career in teaching and research, primarily at the University of Geneva. This academic chapter has recently come to an end. He continues to teach regularly at the private professional training school CREA in Geneva and Lausanne.

Holder of a PhD in Economics and Social Sciences, Philippe Amez-Droz is a recognised expert on the Swiss French-language press. Following a Master’s degree devoted to the regional press in 2007, the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Geneva awarded him the “Outstanding Thesis Award” in 2014 for his doctoral thesis on “The Written Press in the Digital Age”. He is also one of the few specialists in French-speaking Switzerland with expertise in public affairs and public relations, crisis communication and storytelling, combining academic knowledge with hands-on experience in demanding professional environments.

Philippe Amez-Droz will support ftc communication’s clients across French-speaking Switzerland as a Senior Consultant, with a primary focus on analysis, strategic advice and support, as well as strategic leadership.
