After civil engineering studies in the Ecole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Frédéric Burnand leaned towards journalism. He became editor in chief of a newspaper, contributed to the creation of a new publication and trained interns before joining the Swiss national press agency ATS as a specialist of western Switzerland business and politics.
Frédéric Burnand entered FTC Communication SA in 2005 as a consultant. He a été engagé chez FTC Communication SA en 2005 comme consultant. He took the agency over in 2008 and lead it alone until June 2011 where he partnered with Pierre-Alain Rattaz and François Huguenet.
Frédéric Burnand handles mandates both for private companies active in the fields of services or industry than professional associations or parapublic institutions.
In his private life, Frédéric Burnand administers the Katia van Weel foundation, active in schooling girls in Africa, presides over a cultural commission in Lausanne and takes part in the debates of his village’s council. He is also politically engaged in a political party that is close to the economy whilst socially responsible.
